CHILDREN CHOIR

CAIRO OPERA HOUSE CHILDREN CHOIR

Composed of about 250 boys and girls, this Choir was formed in July 1989. Under the supervision of Dr. Ratiba El Hefny and conducted by Maestro Selim Sahab.

The Choir presents a repertoire of traditional song and music, having a sound scientific and academic basis.

Its aim, however, is not only artistic performance but educational, social and national objectives are also met. What evolves is a more artistically aware generation of children who are capable of social involvement and who develop a strong national identity.

The Cairo Opera House Children's Choir participated in the productions of  “Carmen”. "La Boheme" and the Operetta "Sheherdzade" presented in the Cairo opera House.
